The day before we left,
Tuesday, August 23, saw us catch out breath.. I spent the morning in errands and working on bills and documents. But that afternoon we had a scheduled break at Mother's, where we enjoyed the pool. I promptly fell asleep in a chair, but later visited with Mother and then played with the kids. Then we went to Tuccano's for a family dinner.

The calm before the storm: relaxing with my little family |
Tuesday night was not as simple as we planned. We walked through the house and yard carefully with our renters, and then packing our carry-ons took more time than we expected. Got to bed about 1:30, but it could have been much, much worse.
