Welcome to our Holy Land Adventure!

Ever since I first read the Old Testament in seminary when I was 14, I have been in love with the Bible, its history, and the lands where it took place. As I came to know and love the New Testament and our Lord Jesus Christ in subsequent years, this attachment has grown ever deeper. Now a dream is coming true for me as I accept an assignment to teach at the BYU Jerusalem Center for one year, from August 2011 to August 2012.

I have visited the Holy Land twice before, but the chance to teach the Bible in the center and then take my students to the sites where so much of it took place is an opportunity of a lifetime. But even more, I now have the opportunity to share this all with my family . . . and through this blog, hopefully with you!

I hope that you may choose to follow this blog, receiving regular updates, or at least check in from time to time! We plan to share stories, pictures, and even videos as often as we can.
